MANAGERS FOOTBALL HISTORY
Paul Sly - FOOTBALL HISTORY:
Played around
the Midland Circuit for many years as a goalkeeper.
Mainly in the Saturday Midland Combination League &
the West Midlands League for local sides. Also
played Sunday football in the Festival League &
Coronation Premier League sides. Managed local
sides also in the Midland Combination League.
Finally retired
from playing at the tender age of 55 years!!
Paul has
completed his FA Coaching Level 1 course. He is
First Aid trained, holds a Child
Protection Certificate, & has also been CRB checked.

Anthony Hasker - FOOTBALL HISTORY:
Ant started
playing football in 1985 for Longbridge/St.Anne's Cub Scouts,
under 8's. They won the league title in their 2nd
season, winning all their games & losing none.
Ant continued
playing football the following season for his school
(St John Fisher, West Heath). The team went on to
win the 4-a-side Midlands indoor tournament at Fox
Hollies Leisure Centre, where Ant ended the
tournament as top scorer on 13 goals. They also won
the 6-a-side area finals at St Lawrence school
Northfield, Ant again finish top scorer on 6 goals,
& St John Fisher went on to represent Kings Norton
in the national finals in Coventry the following
year.
Ant also played
Sunday football in the Central Warwickshire league
under 12's for Bartley Green Colts, where they went
on the win the Wilf Eastward Cup against Bilbrook
4-0, & also win the 2nd division title.
Little League
Northfield was his next stop, playing for Rovers, &
finishing Runners up in back to back seasons. He
then went on to play for the Little League
Northfield Representative side, playing in the area
finals at Moleneux (Wolverhampton Wanderers). Ant then went on
& played for Shenley Green for 1 season, before
moving onto Rubery Juniors. Although no titles were
won at Rubery Juniors, Ant finished top scorer for 3
seasons on the trot, scoring 48 goals in his 1st
season, followed by 32, then another 30. In his
first season he scored 7 goals in 1 game against
Knowle, & also 5 against Coldlands Colts. This was
the game where he was scouted for the 1st time by
West Bromwich Albion.
Ant then went
onto have trials for Shrewsbury Town, but was
released.
West Bromwich
Albion then offered Ant a trial. After 3 months
though he was released.
Alvechurch under
16's, was his next stop. Ant completed 2 & a half
seasons for Alvechurch, winning the 2nd division
title in the 1st year, the coming a respectable
mid-table the following season in the Midland
Combination Division 3.
Cadbury College
was next on the education adjenda, but unfortunately
only the football team was on his mind. Ant played
for 2 seasons in the College 1st team, before
representing West Midlands County Under 19's. Ant
continued to play Sunday football then for Belton
Rangers in the Festival League, & then St Phillips
in the Birmingham AFA on a Saturday.
He then switched
to Sporting KA in the South Birmingham League 2,
winning the title in the 1st season losing only 1
league game, & 2 cup, & scoring 28 goals.
Berkeley was the
next stop in the South Birmingham Premier Division,
finishing 5th then 3rd.
Kings Norton
Royal British Legion (KNRBL) followed Berkeley,
again in the South Birmingham Premier Division.
Ant joined a
newly formed side Shirley Celtic in the Birmingham
AFA Division 8, in 1999/2000. They won the Division
8 title easily winning all games, scoring 143 goals
& only conceeding 14. The same season also saw
Shirley Celtic come Runners-up in the Jeff's Cup for
the lower half of the Divisions. Shirley Celtic
then became Wythall Celtic & jumped to Division 6
where they were League Runners up. Wythall Celtic
then changed names again to Kings Norton Celtic &
came 5th in Division 4. Division 3, then 2
beckoned, then finally Division 1, where they have
been for the last 2 seasons, finishing 4th in season
2007/08.
Ant
finished playing 8 seasons for KN
Celtic.
Ant joined Birmingham AFA
Premier League side Shirley Athletic for season
2008/09.
The 100
year anniversary of Silhill Football Club saw, a
commerative game on Sunday 31st August 2008,
at Sharmans Cross, where Ant represented the
Birmingham AFA Representative team vs Silhill XI.
The Rep side ran out 3-1 winners, with Ant scoring
the 1st of the rep side goals, in a historic day of
football.
Ant
played for Shirley Athletic in the EH Smith 'Charity
Shield' game vs Village, as Shirley won the Senior
Cup the year previous & Village won the Premier
League. Village ran out 2-1 winners in the
end, played at Sutton Utd's ground. 1st honour of
the season - Runner-up though!
Ant won the Birmingham FA County Junior Cup 2008/09 with SHIRLEY ATHLETIC defeating local rivals & defending champions Silhill 3-1 after extra time to win the trophy for a second time in Shirley Athletic's 37 year history, on 28th March 2009. Ant ended the 2008/09 season as a double winner! After winning the Birmingham FA County Juniors Cup, Shirley Athletic went on to win their 1st ever Birmingham AFA Premier League Title of their 37 year history! Ant also earned the Managers Player of the Year award to cap off a VERY successful season indeed!! BIRMINGHAM AFA PREMIER DIVISION 2008/09
Ant is
currently still with SHIRLEY
ATHLETIC for the 2009/10 season, & hopes of ANY kind
of repeat of last season!
Anthony offers
24 years of football experience to Wythall Juniors
Under 11's, & hopefully will teach the lads a few
things or two along the way.....!!!
