Season 2008/09

WYTHALL JUNIORS  2,  North Birmingham Celtic  0  @ B&SRFC   * ******************************** *
    * Man Of The Match *
Final smallsided game ever today, & a must needed win for Wythall   * WHOLE TEAM *
today, basically to get out of the losing rut.  After playing so well in   * ******************************** *
the previous 3 games & still coming out with no points, what else      Best boots
could Wythall possible do to get a win.  Well Wythall lined up with a
2-3-1 formation this week, which worked well against Celtic last time
around.  Wythall went on the attack from the off, & pressed Celtic      League
back but not quite getting any clear cut chances.  Celtic came       Sun 10th May 2009
back into the game but was met with the wall of Dylan Parry, Adam
Clark & Xavier Parker in goal.  The 1st goal came on 18 minutes.     Current Form
Wythall changed formation to 1-3-2 to put more pressure back onto     LLLLLW
the Celtic defence & it worked when Wythall won a corner.
Callum Bridgewater's ever dangerous corners, causing problem   No. Starting Team   Goals
after problem all game, was met by a great downward header by   1 Xavier PARKER   1
Kyle Mullally for 1-0.   5 Dylan PARRY
HALF TIME:  WYTHALL  1,  NB CELTIC 0   16 Adam CLARK
The 2nd half saw much the same as the 1st.  Wythall started strong    8 Jamie HASKER
again, but Celtic responded with a few good chances of their own.     4 Charlie DONLAN ©
Wythall were gaining more & more confidence as the game went on   7 Kyle MULLALLY   1
but just couldn't penitrate the Celtic defence.  The Celtic keeper    2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
3 or 4 absolutely incredible saves in the 2nd half to keep Wythall out,
& defended extremely well.  All the hard pressing work finall paid off    No. Substitute   Goals
in the 42nd minute, when another Wythall attack ended with the   9 Bailey MORGAN
ball being handled in the penatly area by a celtic player.  Parker   10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
stepped up to score enthatically to the keepers right to make the   3 Jack FOX
game 2-0.
    Division Results
A great end to a pretty mediocre season.
Both teams played in a very good atmosphere of very supportive    WYTHALL  2,  NB Celtic  0
parents & in great spirit.  A good game to watch.   Kingshurst  2,  Catshill  0
Wythall would like to say good luck to NB Celtic for next season.   Santiago  2,  Coleshill  3
The season ends with Wythall finishing a lowly 7th place, & pondering
on what SHOULD have been this season.  Looking back, the season
went horribly wrong at the Home fixture against PS Boys, where the
game shouldn't have been played anyway, & Wythall ended up
losing 3-0.  Wythall need to look to a completely new start for next
season going upto 11-a-side, & play like they have for the final 4
weeks of the season.

WYTHALL JUNIORS  0,  Glades Rangers  1  @ B&SRFC   * ******************************** *
    * Man Of The Match *
A must win game today,to ease the pressure in the relegation battle   * Kyle MULLALLY *
looming in Division F.  Last time these two teams met, they ended up   * ******************************** *
sharing the spoils in a very entertaining game.  Today was again an     Best boots
entertaining game, but lacking killer instinct in front of goal.      Jamie HASKER
Wythall opted to try out a new formation never used before, in a
1-4-1 which seemed to be working, but for in the final 3rd.  Wythall     League
who can't buy a goal at the moment, started the brighter of the     Sun 3rd May 2009
two teams, pressing well through constant runs from the ever
excellent Kyle Mullally, who just seems to improve even more game      Current Form
after game.  The passing wasn't a crisp this week as last, but it was     WLLLLL
clear the effort was there to try & play football.  Wythall only really
had two attempts on goal throught the 1st half, the 1st from a long   No. Starting Team   Goals
range effort from Mullally, which saved comfortable by the Glades    1 Xavier PARKER
keeper, dropped then the follow up was missed.  Then a corner was   5 Dylan PARRY
headed against the bar from a Glades player, which almost got    9 Bailey MORGAN
Wythall going again.   16 Adam CLARK
Glades had some good efforts of their own, particulary with a  great   4 Charlie DONLAN ©
shot from the L/H side across goal, which was superbly pushed away    7 Kyle MULLALLY
for a corner by Xavier Parker in goal.   10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
HALF TIME: WYTHALL  0,  GLADES RANGERS  1
The 2nd half saw pretty much the same as the 1st, except Glades    No. Substitute   Goals
started to play the more direct football & creating the most    8 Jamie HASKER
problems.  Wythall had more of the possession, but only 1 clear cut    2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
chance in the entire 2nd half.  As the game went on it was looking
more & more as though if a goal could be scored by either team,
then that would be the winning goal…..& that was the case.     Division Results
Unfortunately for Wythall, Glades were the ones to score & claim all
three points.  From a great delivered freekick but the Glades no.7,    WYTHALL 0,  Glades Rangers  1
Parker could only just palm the ball upwards, but not away from   NB Celtic  2,  Santiago  2
goal.  The ball drop just before the goaline, & up into the top R/H
corner for the 1-0 win.

Another good display from Wythall today, but if you don't score
goals, you don't win games.  The last game of the season & final
ever Smallsided game - A MUST WIN game  against fellow struggerlers
North Birmingham Celtic.

WYTHALL JUNIORS  0,  Coleshill United  2  @ B&SRFC   * ******************************** *
    * Man Of The Match *
Another big game today against 2nd in the League Coleshill,    * Jamie HASKER *
always a very tough game, with both teams entertaining the crowd   * ******************************** *
each time.  Today saw a very tight affair with both teams having      Best boots
equal possession, & a number of chances.  Wythall opted for the     Callum BRIDGEWATER
3-2-1 formation again to try & catch Coleshill out, but Wythall were
just unable to break down the Coleshill defence despite Jordan      League
Linton-Maisey holding the ball up extremely well, when attacking.     Sun 26th April 2009
Despite some excellent displays, Wythall again, as pretty much the
whole season were unable to score.  Coleshill though stayed patient     Current Form
& managed to score on 17 minutes for 1-0, after Wythall had      WWLLLL
defended so well for so long, lost concentration for a second & paid
the price.   No. Starting Team   Goals
Jamie Hasker was todays Man of the Match with a superb defending   1 Xavier PARKER
performance against the Coleshill no.6 who kept a very close eye on   5 Dylan PARRY
him for the entire 1st half, & nullified the danger from Coleshill.  On    8 Jamie HASKER
22 minutes a great triangle on the edge of the Wythall penalty area    10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
saw Hasker go on a mazy run just past the half way line, & put a    4 Charlie DONLAN ©
perfect through ball for Linton-Maisey to bare down on goal, but just   7 Kyle MULLALLY
not quite find the target.   2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
HALF TIME: WYTHALL  0, COLESHILL  1
The 2nd half saw an almost replica of the 1st, with plenty of good   No. Substitute   Goals
football going on from both sides.  Jack Fox went close on 32 mins   9 Bailey MORGAN
with an absolute blinder of a shot from mid way in the Coleshill half   16 Adam CLARK
which just didn't dip enough in time to find the net.  Fox also played   3 Jack FOX
midfield then in defence for the remainder of the half to keep the
defence tight when the formation switched to 2-2-2 half way    Division Results
through the 2nd half, with another good display from him.  Coleshill
then wrapped the game up on 43 minutes when Coleshill    WYTHALL  0,  Coleshill  2
capitalized on another Wythall mistake to punish & finish the game   Kingshurst  2,  Glades Rangers  2
off at 2-0.   NB Celtic  1,  Catshill  4

Another great performance from all the lads today, ALL the lads are
coming into a great bit of form, but the results just haven't gone
their way AGAIN!!!!  Story of the season so far, with two games left to
play, 4 points are needed to guarentee not being relegated, but
two tough games left to play, starting with Glades Rangers next
week at Home.  Come on lads keep it up, the luck will turn soon,&
I'd hate to be the opposition when it does!

Santiago Colts  4,  WYTHALL JUNIORS  3 @ The Hayes   * ******************************** *
    * Man Of The Match *
A great day for football under a blue sky & hot sun.  Each time these   * Jordan LINTON-MAISEY *
teams meet, there is always a very entertaining game played in very   * ******************************** *
high spirits & a joy to watch - today was no different.  The 1st half      Best boots
saw both teams playing some good football after a scrappy 1st
couple of minutes.  The game was end to end, until Santiago broke
the deadlock on 12 minutes via an unfortunate own goal for 1-0.     League
Wythall went on the attack, bombarding Santiago's goal but just      Sun 19th April 2009
not getting any clear cut shots off.  Wythall eventually scored
on 22 minutes, when another dribbing run & a one-two inbetween     Current Form
saw Kyle Mullally strike from outside the box, too strong for the      DWWLLL
Santiago keeper to hold for 1-1.
HALF TIME:  SANTIAGO  1,  WYTHALL  1   No. Starting Team   Goals
The 2nd half saw probably the best half of football Wythall have    1 Xavier PARKER
played for a very long time.  The dribbling runs were cut to a    5 Dylan PARRY
minimum, & was replaced with fantastic passing, of both precision &   16 Adam CLARK
triangular, to cut Santiago to shreads for 15 minutes.  Wythall went   9 Bailey MORGAN
ahead 2-1 courtesy of a great bit of determination from Charlie    3 Jack FOX
Donlan, to hassle the keeper into dropping the ball, & then scoring    8 Jamie HASKER
from a tight angle.  Callum Bridgewater then scored to extend the    2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
lead to 3-1 on 40 minutes again from a very tight angle, & a great
finish.  Just as though Wythall were looking extremely comfortable    No. Substitute   Goals
& in total control of the game, a small lapse in concentration saw    10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
the Wythall lead cut to just 1, & bringing the score back to 3-2.  Then   7 Kyle MULLALLY
a switch was flicked & Santiago turned the heat right up.  The    4 Charlie DONLAN ©
Santiago no.9 collected the ball just inside the half way line, surged
towards right of centre of the pitch, then unleaded a sublime shot   Division Results
from an incredible distance across goal from right to left, into the
far L/H side netting for 3-3, an incredible feat to beat Xavier Parker   Santiago  4,  WYTHALL  3
across goal from that distance.  Wythall then started to look a liitle   Kingshurst  4,  Coleshill  3
shaken, & Santiago then re-applied the pressure to attack Wythall   NB Celtic  6,  Sheldon  2
even more.  A great stop on 47 minutes from Parker again, saw the    Catshill  3,  Glades Rangers  0
ball parry directly to the Santiago forward no.6 who made no
mistake from 5 yards for her second of the game & the 4-3 win.
An incredible game of football to watch & be involved with today
a draw would have been a much better result in the end, but that's
the luck of the season for Wythall this year!  Man of the Match this
week was the very impressive Jordan Linton-Maisey up front who
caused lots of problems all game - Unlucky lads you were brilliant!

WYTHALL JUNIORS  0,  Kingshurst Sports  1 @ B&SRFC   * ******************************** *
    * Man Of The Match *
Wythall hosted Kingshurst this week, hoping to pull themselves up    *   *
the table & stop Kingshurst going 9 points ahead.  The game was   * ******************************** *
extremely lack luste for the entire 1st half, with both teams failing     Best boots
to stamp any kind of authority on the game.  The deadlock was
eventually broken  with 3 minutes remaining of the 1st half, when
some poor defending saw Kingshurst steal in to score for 1-0.     League
HALF TIME: WYTHALL  0,  KINGSHURST  1     Sun 12th April 2009
The 2nd half saw Wythall gradually come back into the game, but
still not creating any clear cut chances.  A positional change saw     Current Form
Jordan Linton-Maisey pushed upfront to give the Kingshurst tall     LDWWLL
defender a game at least.  Linton-Maisey started holding the ball up
very well, & even started to get some shots off for Wythall.  Wythall    No. Starting Team   Goals
had several good chances then, but the finishing result was always   1 Xavier PARKER
the same, wide or high of goal, not giving the Kingshurst keeper    8 Jamie HASKER
much to do.  The only real chance the Kingshurst keeper had to save   2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
came with 5 minutes remaining, when Bailey Morgan kept his eye on    9 Bailey MORGAN
the ball well & volleyed from an acute angle, with the ball heading   4 Charlie DONLAN ©
into the bottom L/H corner, the Kinghurst keeper made a great save    7 Kyle MULLALLY
to give Wythall a corner.   3 Jack FOX

Wythall are now 9 points behind Kingshurst, although with a game    No. Substitute   Goals
in hand, but can only realistically look to advance one place higher   16 Adam CLARK
into 6th place above Hampton Sports if they win at least 2 of their    5 Dylan PARRY
remaining 4 games.

    Division Results

Phoenix Rangers  12,  WYTHALL JUNIORS  0  @ Lyndon School   * ******************************** *
    * Man Of The Match *
Today saw Wythall travelover to Solihull to face reigning Division A   *   *
Champions Phoenix Rangers in a friendly of 3 3rds.  Not expecting a   * ******************************** *
win at all against a team 5 divisions higher, although Wythall did      Best boots
draw last season with Phoenix in the Wythall tournament, only to be
knocked out on penalties.  Well what a start for Wythall!  1st ten mins
saw the match in Phoenix's half, with Wythall attacking furiously to     League
the delight of the Wythall Managers, & thinking we could be maybe     Sun 5th April 2009
in for a treat.  Some great passing & moving, + great solo runs from
the excellent Kyle Mullally & Charlie Donlan, gave much hope.     Current Form
Then it all went horrible wrong!  Phoenix showed the gulf in class      LLDWWL
between the two sides, & after soaking up the pressure for 10 mins,
then went into 2nd then 3rd gear in the space of 5 mins, to go from   No. Starting Team   Goals
1-0 to 4-0 easily.   1 Xavier PARKER
AFTER 1st 3rd:  PHOENIX 4,  WYTHALL 0   8 Jamie HASKER
The 2nd 3rd started almost the same as the 1st, Wythall decided to   2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
play again.  But just as though after 5 minutes, Wythall had regained    9 Bailey MORGAN
the confidence back, Phoenix skipped 2nd & 3rd gears & went    4 Charlie DONLAN ©
straight to 4th & scored 3 quick goals to kill off the 2nd 3rd.   7 Kyle MULLALLY
AFTER 2nd 3rd: PHOENIX 7,  WYTHALL 0   10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
The 3rd - 3rd saw Phoenix reach 5th gear & totally dominate the rest
of the game, & basically kept Wythall camped in their own half.   No. Substitute   Goals
Some truly amazing football for this age group from Phoenix saw    11 Austin
only a small lapse in goals for the 1st 5 mins, then a blitz from 7-0 to   3 Jack FOX
12-0 very quickly to wrap up a very easy day at the office for
Phoenix, with the impression they could of gone even to a 6th gear
& score a hatful more, if not for some great saves fx0rom Xavier Parker    Division Results
in goal, to keep the score line down.
    Catshill  1,  Coleshill  1
A lesson in football learnt today, not just from passing & moving, but   Kingshurst  0,  PS Boys  2
from sheer strength & above all concentration, which is Wythall's   Santiago  7,  Sheldon 0
biggest downfall at the moment.
Don't be down from this result today lads, Phoenix are just an
absolute fantastic team, with some truly quality players.
Lets get back on track for next weeks home fixture against Kingshurst

Catshill  2,  WYTHALL JUNIORS  0  @Catshill Middle School   * ******************************** *
    * Man Of The Match *
First mid-week game of the season, & probably the toughest game   * Xavier PARKER *
to face too.  Wythall started with a formation not used for over two    * ******************************** *
years, to counter-act the Catshill no.3 from attacking down the      Man of the Match
right too often, by playing 3-2-1 formation.  - & it worked.  Wythall      Bailey MORGAN
started extremely strong attacking from the off, getting the ball
upto Jack Fox up front, who held the ball up brilliantly, & received     League
great support from Kyle Mullally & Charlie Donlan.  Wythall went     Fri 3rd April 2009
close on several occasions, but again it was Catshill who broke the
deadlock.  Disappointingly, it was from yet again the same area      Current Form
that Catshill exploited Wythall again.  A slight lapse in concentration      LLDWWL
allowed the ball to be flighted over the R/H side of the Wythall
defence & yet again the Catshill No.3 was the player to break    No. Starting Team   Goals
through with his pace & score well for 1-0.  Wythall continued to    1 Xavier PARKER
press, with Catshill attacking back on the counter-attack, but was   5 Dylan PARRY
met by some great saves by the excellent Xavier Parker in goal.   2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
HALF TIME: CATSHILL 1,WYTHALL 0   6 Adam CLARK
The 2nd half saw Wythall attacking down the slope, again pressing    4 Charlie DONLAN ©
well throughout, with Catshill continuing to soak up the pressure &    7 Kyle MULLALLY
then counter-attacking well again.  Wythall went close on several    3 Jack FOX
attacks again, but only managed to create 1 clear cut chance,
which was brilliantly saved by the Catshill keeper - again!  Bailey   No. Substitute   Goals
Morgan was introduced to the game, & he produced his best    9 Bailey MORGAN
performance of the season by a mile, with some fantastic attacking   8 Jamie HASKER
moves, but his determination & effort also saw him able to chase   10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
straight back to assist Jordan Linton-Maisey & Jamie Hasker in
defence, stopping the counter-attacks.After so many chances, it was    Division Results
Catshill though who scored, again on the counter-attack, when a
cross goal shot saw Parker get a hand to the shot, but it wasn't    Catshill 2, WYTHALL  0
enough, as the ball ended in the bottom L/H corner for 2-0.

A great spirited game - fantastic entertainment to watch, between
two extremely well spirited sides, with a great atmosphere created
by two set of enthusiastic parents/supporters.
Well done today Wythall you were excellent, but very unfortunate
against a very good side. Good luck Catshill for the rest of the
season in both the cup final & the league challenge.

WYTHALL JUNIORS  5,  Sheldon Royals  0  @ B&SRFC   * ******************************** *
    * Man Of The Match *
Wythall faced bottom side Sheldon Royals today, each time these   * Jordan LINTON-MAISEY *
two sides meet there is usually a great game to watch & plenty of   * ******************************** *
goals too, & today was the same again.  From the kick off, Wythall     Best Boots
went straight on the attack, & went close after 2 minutes.  Wythall     Charlie DONLAN
started playing some attractive football & produced the 1st goal
on 4 minutes when Kyle Mullally finished superbly for 1-0.  2-0 came      League
on 10 minutes when more great moves saw the Sheldon defence      Sun 29th March 2009
opened up, & Charlie Donlan hit his shot from 15 yards into the top
R/H corner for the goal of the game.  Jordan Linton-Maisey then     Current Form
got in on the act, when he pressed forward & finished well from 7      LLLDWW
yards out for 3-0 on 17 minutes, for a well deserved cap to an
excellent man of the match performance from him.  4-0 came with   No. Starting Team   Goals
2 minutes of the 2nd half remaining, when another great move saw    1 Xavier PARKER   1
Callum Bridgewater's deep cross, carried into the Sheldon penalty    5 Dylan PARRY
area by Donlan, who broke through the Sheldon defence & find the    2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY   1
net from 5 yards.   8 Jamie HASKER
HALF TIME:  WYTHALL  4,  SHELDON  0   9 Bailey MORGAN
The 2nd half saw much the same as the 1st, with Wythall having    7 Kyle MULLALLY   1
70/30% possession, & creating chance after chance, but just not    10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
dinding the net.  The Sheldon keeper then decided to also have the
game of his life & make 4 incredible saves, keeping Wythall from   No. Substitute   Goals
extending their lead further.  The only goal of the game came via   4 Charlie DONLAN © 2
the penalty spot on 37 minutes when Xavier Parker converted yet   16 Adam CLARK
another penalty for 5-0.  Wythall went close several more times, but   3 Jack FOX
just couldn't find the net.  The pick of the chances came when
Adam 'A.J.' Clark hit a thunderous shot from the edge of the penalty   Division Results
area only to see the ball cannon down off the bar, & into the hands
of the grateful Sheldon keeper.   WYTHALL  5,  Sheldon  0
    NB Celtic  1,  Kingshurst  3
Brillaint performance from the whole team this week, making it    PS Boys  1,  Coleshill  3
extremely hard to pick a man of the match today.  The players    Santiago  0, Hampton  1
themselves chose this weeks winner, who rightly deserved the merit
with a fantastic display - well done Jordan, & well done ALL the
players you were brilliant.

North Birmingham Celtic  1,  WYTHALL JUNIORS  2  @ Moor Lane   * ******************************** *
    * Man Of The Match *
1st match of the season between these two sides, & with both sides   * Kyle MULLALLY *
lingering in the bottom half of the table, 3 points would be crucial   * ******************************** *
to either team.  The game started very brightly, with both teams      Best Boots
attacking, & using the ball well.  Wythall started to get on top     Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
though after 7 minutes, & started making the more clearer cut
chances.  Wythall were eventually rewarded after 17 minutes, for all     League
the pressure, with an absolute blinder of a goal from Kyle Mullally.     Sun 15th March 2009
Mullally received the ball 20 yards out, took a touch & belted it from
15 yards off the bar down onto the line but then back up into the      Current Form
top of the net.  Xavier Parker in goal then kept a few great shots out     LLLLDW
from promising Celtic attacks, with back up from Dylan Parry &
Adam Clark who again, proved to be a formidable stopping 'wall'   No. Starting Team   Goals
keeping Celtic at bay.     1 Xavier PARKER   1
HALF TIME: NB CELTIC  0,  WYTHALL 1   5 Dylan PARRY
The 2nd half saw Wythall playing up hill, but this didn't seem to stop   16 Adam CLARK
them attacking.  A couple of wasted chances later, & it was Celtic   8 Jamie HASKER
who gained a corner after a good attack.  A quick short corner,    4 Charlie DONLAN ©
caught Wythall out cold, & Celtic equalised via another brilliant    7 Kyle MULLALLY   1
goal from distance, ending in the top L/H corner for 1-1.   10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
The game became a lot more end top end then, in a very highly
entertaining game, with some excellent football being played by   No. Substitute   Goals
both teams.  Wythall missed two clear cut chances which was   2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
starting to look as though more points were going to be lost again   9 Bailey MORGAN
this week.  Then the much needed breakthrough came, when
another Wythall attack saw the Celtic defender handle for a
penalty.  Xavier Parker stepped up & scored brilliantly from the spot    Division Results
for 2-1.
Wythall then defended out the final 4-5 minutes, with one more    NB Celtic  1,  WYTHALL  2
chance going their way which wasted again.   Glades R  1,  Coleshill  0
A very entertaining game today between both teams played in the   Kingshurst  1,  Sheldon  1
kind of spirit all games should be played in - both teams were a   PS Boys  2,  Hampton  0
credit to their clubs today.   Santiago  0,  Catshill  4
3 points again at last, & by far the best display from Wythall for what
seems like a very long time.  The day belonged to Kyle Mullally
though, who just seems to be getting better & better every week at   Midweek
the moment.  There wasn't a blade of grass on the pitch that he
he didn't touched today - Well done lads PLEASE keep it up now!!   Coleshill  2,  Kingshurst  1

PS Boys  1,  WYTHALL JUNIORS  1  @ Henry Road   * ******************************** *

hailing too for 5 minutes.  Weather aside, the pitch was in good      Best Boots
shape, & set up for a good game.  Both teams started strongly,      -
attacking end to end, with Wythall having the clearer cut chances.
The deadlock was broken after only 2 minutes, when a great attack     League
ended with the keeper coming out to collect, looking as though the     Sun 8th March 2009
move had been broken down, only for Callum Bridgewater to sneak
on to toe past the keeper, run on & score a well deserved goal,      Current Form
& 1st Wythall goal since 7th December!  Wythall went onto attack     LLLLLD
well, with more confidence as the game went on & looking as
though they could go on to win a much needed 3 points.    No. Starting Team   Goals
Xavier Parker in goal made an incredible save late on in the 1st half   1 Xavier PARKER
to add to his growing portfolio of saves, & was shielded well for the   3 Jack FOX
entire game by the ever dependable Dylan Parry, who was superb   16 Adam CLARK
again today, but was slightly outshined by the brilliant Adam Clark   9 Bailey MORGAN
who was marking a lad almost a foot taller & much physically    2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
stronger, but never gave him an inch, & even felled him a few times    10 Callum BRIDGEWATER   1
looking as though HE was the stronger! - Well done to AJ today you   4 Charlie DONLAN ©
were fantastic.
HALF TIME: PS BOYS 0,  WYTHALL 1   No. Substitute   Goals
The 2nd half saw much the same as the 1st.  Both sides pressing for    8 Jamie HASKER
goals, but just not getting the final touch in.  PS Boys started to    7 Kyle MULLALLY
gain a little more confidence as the half went on though, & had   5 Dylan PARRY
more & more of the ball.  Wythall started to resort to the counter -
attack then, & that was proving to be just as dangerous for the    Division Results
hosts.  After several near misses by both sides, PS Boys were awarded
a free kick to the R/H side of the penalty area after Xavier Parker    PS Boys  1,  WYTHALL  1
was judged to handle outside the area.  The resulting freekick saw    Coleshill  6,  Sheldon  1
the ball deflect off the Wythall wall, & somehow evaded several   Glades R  1,  Catshill  3
players through the Wythall area & nestle agonisingly in the bottom   Hampton  1,  NB Celtic  1
L/H corner of the Wythall goal for 1-1.   Santiago  1,  Kingshurst  3

Unlucky result for Wythall today.  Outplaying a very tough team for
almost 40 minutes, then conceeding in such a fashion in the end,
just summed up the season so far.
Well done lads you were superb today, & so unlucky not to win.

no different.  The game was evenly contested throughout the 50      -
minutes, both side creating some good chances, & making the
opposing keepers work hard.  Some fine saves from both keepers      League
kept the game even for the 1st 15 minutes.  The eventual break-     Sun 1st March 2009
through came when a mix-up between 3 Wythall players, allowed
Coleshill to easily pick the ball up just inside their own half.  The      Current Form
resulting move, eventually found the Coleshill No.9, who took his     WLLLLL
goal very well to go ahead 1-0.  The game continued again as it
had for the previous 15 minutes, well contested up to half time.   No. Starting Team   Goals
HALF TIME: COLESHILL  1,  WYTHALL  0   1 Xavier PARKER
The 2nd half saw exactly the same as the 1st, with both teams    4 Charlie DONLAN ©
playing some attractive football, but with Coleshill having the    5 Dylan PARRY
better chances.  A controversial incident midway through the 2nd    2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
half saw the ball in the back of the Coleshill net, which should    8 Jamie HASKER
have brought the game 1-1, & the massive confidence booster   7 Kyle MULLALLY
Wythall needed, but the ball was brought back, so the game    11 Callum BRIDGEWATER
remained 1-0.  Unfortunately 4 minutes later though, a failed
clearance saw the Coleshill no.6 with an unchallenged lob into the   No. Substitute   Goals

After a much stop-start season to date, today was hopefully the    * Jordan LINTON-MAISEY *

brings a greatly contested game,  & after losing in the League      Best Boots
shield earlier in the season, Wythall had a point to prove.  From      -
the start the game was frantically contested between both teams.
There was plenty of end-to-end football with both side going close     League
on several ocassions.  After all the great football & chances, the     Sun 22nd Feb 2009
goal came funnily enough in a slightly bizarre way.  A goal kick
wasn't contested enough by the Wythall players, which lead the      Current Form
Catshill Midfielder unchallenged to push the ball forward to an     WWLLLL
un-marked Catshill forward who mis-kicked his shot, but it
somehow sailed over Xavier Parker in goal & in for 1-0.   No. Starting Team   Goals
Wythall then produced the move of the match, interchanging slick    1 Xavier PARKER
passes to create bags of room for Charlie Donlan to run clean    8 Jamie HASKER
through. As he entered the Catshill box, he shot across the Catshill    5 Dylan PARRY
keeper, hitting the far post, coming back across the goal line, &    3 Jack FOX
somehow staying out for a goal kick!   6 Adam CLARK
HALF TIME: WYTHALL 0,  Catshill  1   7 Kyle MULLALLY ©
The 2nd half saw much of the same.  Both teams again came out   2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
attacking end to end for the 1st 10 minutes, with both teams
going close each time.  Catshill though increased their lead on 36   No. Substitute   Goals
mins, when a great piece of counter-attacking ended in the    4 Charlie DONLAN
Wythall goal bulging again for 2-0.  Wythall then adopted playing   9 Bailey MORGAN
with 1 in defence to press Catshill back.  It worked for the next 7    10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
minutes, with Wythall having the much more possession.  Wythall
created 4 or 5 clear cut chances, but agonisingly seeing the    Division Results
Catshill keeper save or missing from close range, -summing up the
season to a tee.  After all that great play & chances though,    WYTHALL  0,  Catshill  5
Catshill then counter-attacked, & made full advantage of the    Hampton  0,  Kingshurst  0
unguarded Wythall half, by increasing the lead to 3-0, with a    PS Boys  0,  Santiago  1
fantastic finish.  Wythall continued to try & play football to their   Sheldon  1,  NB Celtic  7
credit, but missing chances pays when playing top teams.  Catshill
scored another fantastic goal on 45 minutes, then wrapped the
game upon 47 minutes for a 5-0 thumping.
Very dissapointing scoreline for Wythall today, after actually playing
brilliantly for 90% of the game, but if you don't score you don't win.
The game could have been VERY differently if the early Donlan shot
had hit the net, but Catshill were just too strong & clinical today.

were met every time by a resiliant Hampton strong guard.  The   6 Adam CLARK
more the game went on the more it was looking as though this   10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
would end a classic 0 - 0 draw.  Unfortunately though Hampton    8 Jamie HASKER ©
continued to press, & an attack down the Wythall L/H side was
crossed low, evaded two Wythall defenders & was met at the    No. Substitute   Goals
back post by a Hampton player, totally unmarked & with the easy   5 Dylan PARRY
task of side footing in from 2 yards into the unguarded net.

Wythall should have stayed at home in bed!  Through no fault of      Best Boots
their own,the game kicked off over an hour late, & by this time     -
the lads were frozen stiff!  It showed too, when PS Boys attacked
from the word go, & scored after 4 minutes for 1-0.  2-0 came      League
another 2 minutes later, when a goal kick was kicked straight     Sun 11th Dec 2008
back towards the Wythall goal from all of 25 yards, over the
hapless Xavier Parker in goal to increase the PS Boys lead.  Shades     Current Form
of the Catshill game sprang to mind then, but somehow Wythall      LDWWLL
kept the scoreline down to only two, thanks to great displays from
the two defenders Jack Fox & Dylan Parry.  A couple of changes   No. Starting Team   Goals
were then made to stem the PS Boys flow, & it paid off for the rest   1 Xavier PARKER

HALF TIME: WYTHALL 0,  PS BOYS 2   9 Bailey MORGAN
The 2nd half saw Wythall come out fighting for the first 5 minutes   4 Charlie DONLAN ©
attacking PS Boys, but again no clear cut chances.  PS Boys then    10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
got back on top again, creating some good football, passing the   8 Jamie HASKER
ball around nicely, basically showing Wythall how to do it.  Wythall
then got the message, & produced three fantastic passing moves   No. Substitute   Goals
to totally calve PS Boys open, but again the final product was   7 Kyle MULLALLY
missing.  Gaining some new found confidence once more, Wythall   2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
decided to 'go it alone' again, by trying to 'score on our own'    16 Adam CLARK
again, instead of sticking to what seemed to be now working.
Wythall then eventually paid the price, as PS Boys went on the    Division Results
counter-attack once more & scored with 6 minutes remaining for
3-0, & getting what they deserved in fair.     WYTHALL  0,  PS Boys  3
With another depressing Sunday night to ponder on, the only    Coleshill  4,  Glades Rangers  2
highlights really from Wythall's point of view were the    Sheldon 1,  Hampton  6
performances of Callum Bridgewater, who was fantastic today,
one of only three players in the whole squad that really looked as
though they wanted to win this game.  His none stop running &
battling, is a credit to himself & his fellow team members.  Equally
as determind was Jack Fox who also, was excellent today, & very
close to walking away with Man of the match also.  The third
player was Adam Clark, who didn't have much game time on his
1st return, but his desire & effort was 2nd to only Callum.

sides & today was the same again.  Wythall started quite      Best Boots
promising, attacking early on though Kyle Mullally's runs & generally     -
pressing well all over the field.  This was short lived though, &
Catshill then punished Wythall for the next 10 minutes enthatically.     League
Catshill scored their 1st goal on 6 minutes, through some good     Sun 7th Dec 2008
attacking play down their right which saw the Catshill no.3 score
twice in as many minutes to put a shell shocked Wythall 2-0 down.     Current Form

shuffles around later & Wythall actually started to play some nice    1 Xavier PARKER
football, & getting the reward 5 minutes later with a very good    5 Dylan PARRY
equaliser from Callum Bridgewater, after another dangerous    3 Jack FOX

saw Bridgewater stroke the ball across the Catshill keeper & into   4 Charlie DONLAN © 1

HALF TIME: CATSHILL 4, WYTHALL 1   9 Bailey MORGAN
The 2nd half saw the real Wythall Juniors turn up & saw relentless

It took until the 40th Minute for Wythall to score, through a    8 Jamie HASKER
cracking Charlie Donlan 30 yard effort which hit the back of the
net to rapturous applause from the relieved Wythall parents.  Just
as though Wythall looked as though they were well back in the
game, Bridgewater hit the post, Donlan hit the post also, Bailey    Division Results
Morgan went close, Jamie Hasker had an effort go wide, Mullally
went close again, but just no goal.  Wythall to their credit
continued the onslaught bar a few Catshill chances late on, that
also were extremely close without the intervention on another    Catshill Goals
brilliant defensive display from Dylan Parry, & Jack Fox, both
awesome today, & Xavier Parker in goal who was equally brilliant.
Man of the Match today though had to go to Bailey Morgan,
who's tiredless running up & down the R/H & L/H  sides this week
caused so many problems in the 2nd half.
A harsh lesson learnt today for Wythall, a lapse in concentration

a him dedicate his goal to his Grandfather who passed away a
couple of weeks ago.  Glades then hit back with 30 seconds left   No. Starting Team   Goals
on the clock & the last kick of the half.  A free kick just inside the   1 Xavier PARKER ©
Wythall half was hit high & long towards the far post, only to see   3 Jack FOX
the ball avade evryone & nestle in the bottom R/H corner.   5 Dylan PARRY
HALF TIME: GLADES 1,  WYTHALL 1   10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
The 2nd half saw much the same as the 1st, but with Wythall    7 Kyle MULLALLY
coming out slightly more ontop.  A great spirited game   9 Bailey MORGAN   1
continued to see some great football at time, from both teams,   8 Jamie HASKER   1
& some great determination to accompany.  Wythall increased
their lead again to 2-1 on  34 minutes, when a fantastic Wythall    No. Substitute   Goals
move eventually saw Jamie Hasker claim a goal at the far post,    2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
when a great Callum Bridgewater run, saw his shot saved
brilliantly from the Glades keeper, who saved Glades on a few
occasions to relentless Wythall pressure, time & time again.
Wythall went close again from a Jordan Linton-Maisey run & shot   Division Results
which saw the Glades keeper yet again somehow save.
Wythall also went extremely close again with 6 minutes    Sheldon 1,  Kingfisher 9
remaining, when another Moragn shot went narrowly wide.
Wythall were made to pay though in the next minute, when a
loss of concentration let Glades in to score easily for 2-2, & take
the game to extratime.  After a fairly stalemate of an extratime,   Glades Goals
with chances at either end again, the game was taken to
penalties, where Glades made Wythall pay for the missed
chances, by walking away with a 3-2 win.
A fantastic game of football to watch & be involved in today,
with BIG performances from EVERY player today - especially Jack
Fox & Dylan Parry in defence who were outstanding today.

WYTHALL JUNIORS  1,  Ulverley Hawks  4  @ BSRFC   * ******************************** *
    * Man Of The Match *
A free week today ment organising a friendly against a good   * Callum Bridgewater *
side to test the lads to the limit, & there wouldn't be a better   * ******************************** *
side to face than last years champions Ulverley Hawks.  The      Man Of The Match
pre-season game, saw Wythall run out 4-2 winners in one of their     Kyle MULLALLY
best performances to date.  Today though was a different story
with Ulverley out to tip the scales in their favour again with a      Friendly
little 'revenge!'  Both teams started very well, with Wythall      Sun 28th Sept 2008
having the best of the ball for the 1st 10 minutes, pressing well &
some nice passing moves, that penned Ulverley back.  Great     Current Form
strong Kyle Mullally, Charlie Donlan & Callum Bridgewater runs     LW
made the game entertaining & as though Wythall would win the
game again.  Unfortunately, Ulverley's first good counter-attcking   No. Starting Team   Goals
move of the game saw them capitalise on some poor    1 Xavier PARKER
defending, to go ahead 1-0 after 13 minutes.  Wythall though    8 Jamie HASKER
got straight on with it, & another great Mullally run, saw him    5 Dylan PARRY
finish brilliantly from the R/H corner of the penalty area, across    4 Charlie DONLAN ©
goal into the bottom L/H corner for 1-1.  Just as though the    7 Kyle MULLALLY   1
game looked even stevens into halftime, Wythall conceeded a   3 Jack FOX
last minute corner which resulted in Ulverley scoring brilliantly   10 Callum BRIDGEWATER
from off the cross bar & over the line for 2-1.
HALF TIME: WYTHALL 1,  ULVERLEY 2   No. Substitute   Goals
The 2nd half basically saw Ulverley totally dominate the ball   9 Bailey MORGAN
passing wise, & give Wythall a lesson in passing the ball around.   2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
Wythall matched Ulverley physically, but technically Ulverley were
in a league of their own, making pass after pass, & their switch
play was superb.  Ulverley went 3-1 up on 34 minutes after    Division Results
another rpiece of great play, then 4-1 up on 45 minutes after a
great interchange at the half way line, a great pass to the left   Coleshill 3, PS Boys 2
midfielder, who crossed brilliantly to the far post where it was    Kingshurst 0,  Hampton 4
met by an outstretched foot for a truly fantastic goal.   NB Celtic 0,  Glades Rangers 0
    Santiago 4,  Kingfisher 2
A lesson learnt today in the art of passing for Wythall, although    Sheldon L,  Catshill L
to Wythall's credit, they kept going to the end, & continued to
try & play football to the final whistle.

Another tough game next week at Santiago Colts next week to

do it!

    * Man Of The Match *
2nd game of the new season, & Wythall went out to put some   * Jamie HASKER *
points on the board this week, after a disasterous start to the   * ******************************** *
new campaign against Kingshurst last week.   Wythall had some     Best Boots
shuffles about, & some players even played in a new position this     Kyle MULLALLY
week.  Wythall started extremely strong & had their foot on the
gas from the word go.  A surprising fresh looking Wythall ran their     League Game 2
socks off, right to the final whistle too.   After far better passing      Sun 21st Sept 2008
this week, & looking like a team at last, Wythall broke the
deadlock on 14 minutes, when the very impressive Jamie Hasker     Current Form
playing at the back this week, lauched the ball forward from      LW
the half way line, Charlie Donlan controlled well & hit a power
shot which the keeper got a hand too, but not quite    No. Starting Team   Goals
enough to keep the ball out.  Wythall displayed some awesome   1 Xavier PARKER
attacking for the rest of the half, with Jack Fox keeping the ball    8 Jamie HASKER
in the Santiago half, & looking for support from the good    2 Jordan LINTON - MAISEY
running of Donlan, Kyle Mullally & Bailey Morgan.   4 Charlie DONLAN © 2
HALF TIME: WYTHALL 1,  SANTIAGO 0   7 Kyle MULLALLY
Wythall continued the good work of the 1st half, & went on the    9 Bailey MORGAN
attack again.  When Santiago attacked though, they were met   3 Jack FOX
time after time by Hasker & Jordan Linton Maisey, & then Dylan
Parry also when he came on at half time, all 3 were solid today.   No. Substitute   Goals
Wythall gained their 2nd goal on 34 minutes, when Donlan    10 Callum BRIDGEWATER   1
again showed some magic footwork out wide left, cut inside    5 Dylan PARRY
the Santiago peanlty area, & hit another power shot into the
bottom R/H corner for a superb finish.  Wythall added their 3rd
goal on 43 minutes, when Callum Bridgewater who also came   Division Results
on at half time, & was also very impressive today, scored from
close range for 3-0.  Wythall then conceeded a late goal on 46   WYTHALL 3,  Santiago  1
minutes, when Santiago finished impressively after a great    Catshill 4,  PS Boys  7
flowing move.   Glades Rangers  2,  Kingshurst  1
A fantastic atmosphere today & a very good game, both teams    Hampton  4,  Kingfisher  1
were exceptional, & a pleasure to watch.   NB Celtic  3,  Coleshill 2
With Santiago Colts up again in 2 weeks time, hopefully we'll see
a good a game as this week again.

    * Man Of The Match *
1st game of the season away across town to new division F    * - *
team Kingshurst.  The day started badly when only the bare 7   * ******************************** *
players were available for selection.  Not a good start to the      Best Boots
season!  Things went from bad to  worse from then on.  Wythall      -
actually started very brightly, attacking up hill first half, but still
not getting a passing game together.  Kingshurst were 1st to      League Game 1
strike on 6 minutes, after some sloppy defending allowed them      Sun 14th Sept 2008
in to take the lead 1-0.  2-0 came straight away on 8 minutes,
when the Kingshurst no.5 managed to score a cross come shot,     Current Form
into the far L/H corner for a great goal.  Wythall had a brief      L
moment of good play on 12 minutes, which ended up with
Jordan Linton-Maisey scoring a belter from around 20 yards out   No. Starting Team   Goals
into the top of the net for 2-1.  Instead of Wythall then coming   1 Xavier PARKER
back into the game then, Kinghurst came straight back on 15   4 Charlie DONLAN © 1
minutes with another well worked goal from 3-1.   2 Jordan LINTON - MAISEY   1
The only other highlight of the half, saw a Jack Fox shot from just   3 Jack FOX
inside his own half just dip over the bar - cracking effort.   7 Kyle MULLALLY
HALF TIME: KINGSHURST 3, WYTHALL 1   9 Bailey MORGAN
The 2nd half saw Wythall playing downhill, & their game finally    8 Jamie HASKER
picked up.  Wythall started to play really well, only to see them
push on just a tad too much & were punished by Kinghurst once   No. Substitute   Goals
again on the break, for 4-1.  Wythall continued to press hard, &
saw Kyle Mullally hit the bar from just outside the penalty area
after a great run.  Wythall eventually got back another goal,
after probably the move of the match with interaction from
almost the whole team, until Charlie Donlan swept the ball in    Division Results
from 5 yards for 4-2, from a Mullally cross.
    Glades  0,  PS Boys  1
Poor 1st half today, but much better 2nd half, when Wythall    Kingshurst  4,  WYTHALL  2
decided to put the effort in & play some football.
Wythall have got to start playing as a team now though,
instead of one or two players deciding to try & save the team
every week, by trying to win the game on their own.   Kingshurst Goals
It'll be a very long season unless this happens.

Come on Wythall lets get back to basics & start winning again!!

    * Man Of The Match *
1st game at home this season & also 1st game on the new pitch!   * - *
So this time out, Wythall faced the tough task up against Div A   * ******************************** *
team Redditch Town.  Last time these two met, Wythall ran out      Best Boots
1-0 winners in the Wythall Festival, so Redditch were looking to     -
put this behind them - & they did.  Wythall started the 1st 5 mins
well, playing some good stuff, that actually looked quite      Friendly
impressive from the touchline, but then it all fell apart.  Wythall     Sun 31st August 2008
suddenly switched off, & conceeded a very sloppy goal, which
was the spring board for Redditch to show their class, & totally     Current Form
dominate the rest of the half.  Redditch played some excellent      WWWWWL
football & made Wythall - for the 1st time in a long time, look a
very ordinary Div F side.  Redditch racked up the goals, until at   No. Starting Team   Goals
Half time they were already 4 up.   1 Xavier PARKER
HALF TIME: WYTHALL 0,  REDDITCH 4   5 Dylan PARRY
The 2nd half saw Wythall come out stronger & a little more    4 Charlie DONLAN ©
enthusiastic at last.  The game was end to end for much of the    3 Jack FOX
2nd half, although Redditch still looked in control for the majority    7 Kyle MULLALLY   2
of the time.  Wythall got the goal they deserved on 32 minutes   2 Jordan LINTON - MAISEY
when a good interchange between Kyle Mullally, Jack Fox &    8 Jamie HASKER
Jamie Hakser, saw the ball back at the feet of Mullally, who
controlled well, turned nicely & shot from the edge of the area   No. Substitute   Goals
for Wythall's 1st of the game & 4-1.   Wythall though still busy    9 Bailey MORGAN
celibrating, where too slow in stopping Redditch from going
straight back up the other end & extending their lead to 5-1,
1 minute later.  Wythall then got their 2nd goal of the game
6 minutes later when a great bit of Charlie Donlan grit &
determination, was rewarded when his lay back to Mullally 15
yards out, saw Mullally's cross come shot nestle in the bottom
L/H corner for 5-2.   Redditch though wrapped up the game 5
minutes from time, when another great display of football, saw
a thunderous shot form 8 yards out settle in the Wythall net.     Red Town Goals
Just desserts today for Wythall, who have let a great run of 7
games unbeaten slip away easily today with out a fight.
Hopefully Wythall can buck up their ideas for next weeks local
derby against Wychall Wanderers, who will definately be out to
turn around the last result, when Wythall ran out comfortable
winners - come on lads only 1 game until the season starts,
lets see the commitment return again!!

2nd pre-season friendly trip over to Redditch this season to face   * - *
Athletic, last time out Wythall ran out comfortable 5-2 winners &   * ******************************** *
today saw Wythall step up another gear.  The 1st half was a      Best Boots
fantastic display of passing & teamwork, in probably the best     -
performance this season so far, in terms of total football.
Wythall went for the throats of Redditch straight off, & were 2-0     Friendly
up inside the 1st 3 minutes, with great work goals from both     Sun 17th August 2008
the very impressive Kyle Mullally & equally impressive Tom
Anderson.   The 1st half then saw Wythall just step up the gears &     Current Form
Wythall went for the throats of Redditch straight off, & were 2-0     WWWWWW
increasing their lead up to 5-0 by half time, with further goals
from Jamie Hasker, Mullally & Anderson.     No. Starting Team   Goals
Mullally had gained his 1st ever hatrick by halftime.   1 Xavier PARKER ©
HALF TIME: REDDITCH  0,  WYTHALL 5   5 Dylan PARRY
The 2nd half saw Wythall keep up the good work & press for    2 Jordan LINTON-MAISEY
more goals, Mullally added his 4th goal after a fanastic run &    3 Jack FOX
powerful finish.  Anderson also gained his 8th hatrick for Wythall   7 Kyle MULLALLY   4
in 2 seasons to add to his brilliant tally of 54 goals in 25 games.   8 Jamie HASKER   1
The rest of the team were equally as brilliant, with another great   10 Tom ANDERSON   3
defensive display from the trio of Dylan Parry, Xavier Parker &
Jordan Linton-Maisey again this week.  Jack Fox, ever improving   No. Substitute   Goals
over these last few weeks, proved his worth agin this week, with
another gritty performance.

A fantastic achievement so far this season for Wythall, not losing
a game as of yet, 6 out of 6 is a great run, but with 2 very hard
games to follow in the next 3 weeks, the biggest test is to come
against the impressive Moor Green Colts, who have yet to lose
against Wythall yet, & the strong Wchall Wanderers side from
Division B still to play.
The best thing to come out of the last few games, is the fact
that Wythall have played the last 5 games with a depleted
squad & still ran out winners each time.
Hopefully Wythall can win the next 2 games, & carry on the good
run into the league campaign for the coming season.
Well done lads so far, but the hard work is yet to come.

    * Man Of The Match *
After a heavy nights rain, Wythall turned up expecting a wash   * - *
out, but was met with a perfect pitch, (although a little small!).   * ******************************** *
Whenever these two teams meet up, it's always an entertaining     Best Boots
well spirited game, & today was no different.  Wythall kicked off     -
& went straight on the attack, pressing hard for the 1st 12 mins,
but unable to break down a very resolute Cole Hall Lane      Friendly
defence.  Jamie Hasker went closest on 10 mins, when an      Sun 10th August 2008
Xavier Parker long goal kick avaided everyone, & landed at his
feet with his back to goal.  The Cole Hall keeper (who had a      Current Form
superb game) dived low at the feet of Hasker, but then Hasker      WWWWW
shot against the R/H post & away for a goal kick.  Then Wythall
eventually got what they deserved after prolonged pressure on    No. Starting Team   Goals

HALF TIME: COLE HALL 0,  WYTHALL 1   6 Callum BRIDGEWATER
The 2nd half saw the game become more open, with both    7 Kyle MULLALLY
teams attacking, but Wythall getting the more clear cut through   8 Jamie HASKER
out. Cole Hall continued to frustrate Wythall with good    10 Tom ANDERSON   2
defending, & great keeping, until they had a break away
chance, that saw Parker in goal, clear off the line, against the   No. Substitute   Goals
post saved a 2nd time & somehow kept out various other Cole   9 Bailey MORGAN
hall shots that followed up.  Eventually Wythall did get the
important 2nd goal on 42 minutes, when Mullally went on
another R/H touchline run, cut inside to find Bailey Morgan, &
then Hasker, then to Anderson, who checked back inside & shot
finding the hands of the Cole Hall keeper again, but just couldn’t
quite keep the ball out this time for 2-0.
Wythall then had several good chances, particular from Mullally
who saw shot after shot either hit the bar, or go narrowly over
the bar too.  The only other clear cut chance came on 46 mins,
when Morgan broke down the L/H side, cut inside, & with two    Cole Hall Goals
fellow Wythall players to his right & an open goal, chose to shoot
but saw his shot go narrowly wide past the R/H post.
Very frustrating game for Wythall today, Cole Hall defended well,
to keep them out, although Wythall's defence was also superb
today again also.
Keep up the good work lads & the goals will come too.
